Since its inception in 1995, AFEE has funded nearly $1.8 million in grants at Hillside and Brookside Schools.
These have included a number of cutting-edge technologies (Smart Boards, laptop carts, iPad learning labs) such as BTV, Brookside’s own television studio; Hillside’s award-winning Ecology Center; an updated Fitness Center for sixth through eighth graders at Brookside; Hillside’s Theater Week; and more.
These grants are independent of the district’s budget, and consistent with the goals, objectives, and policies of the Allendale Board of Education. Tickets go on sale Jan. 15.
AFEE is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding grants that enrich the Pre-K through eighth grade educational experiences at Hillside and Brookside schools.
AFEE's Board of Trustees includes parents, teachers, and District administrators, including the superintendent, principals, and supervisor and it relies solely on the generosity of the community to raise funds for its grants.
